Using Instamake

You must be legally able to enter this agreement and provide accurate account information. You are responsible for your account, projects, published apps, connected stores and payment accounts, and activity performed through them.

Instamake generates software from your instructions. You must review, test, and monitor generated output before relying on or publishing it. Generated output can contain errors, security issues, or material that requires additional permissions.

Acceptable use

You may not use Instamake to violate law or another person’s rights; distribute malware; evade access controls; facilitate fraud, harassment, exploitation, or deceptive practices; interfere with the service; or attempt to obtain credentials or data you are not authorized to access. We may investigate misuse and suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect users, providers, or the service.

Your content and generated output

You retain your rights in content you submit. You grant General Context a limited license to host, process, reproduce, and modify that content only as needed to provide, secure, and improve Instamake. You represent that you have the rights needed for content and instructions you provide.

As between you and General Context, and to the extent permitted by law, you may use generated project output for your business or personal purposes. Similar output may be generated for others, and no exclusivity is promised. You are responsible for reviewing third-party licenses and rights that may apply.

Shopify, Stripe, and other services

Connected services are provided by third parties under their own agreements. Shopify controls merchant onboarding, stores, products, inventory, and hosted checkout. Stripe controls its test and payment infrastructure. Instamake does not guarantee that a third party will approve, continue, or operate a connected account.

You are responsible for your storefront content, products, taxes, fulfillment, refunds, privacy notices, customer support, and compliance with Shopify’s, Stripe’s, and other applicable platform rules.

Hosting subscriptions and billing

Public app hosting is billed monthly for each published app at the price shown before checkout. Your subscription renews automatically until canceled. Stripe processes the payment and provides the billing portal where you can update your payment method or cancel.

Cancellation takes effect according to the billing period shown in Stripe. Your Instamake project remains saved after hosting ends, but its public address may stop serving and may later become available to another user. Usage beyond included hosting limits may require a different plan after notice to you.

Service changes and termination

We may change, suspend, or discontinue features and may impose reasonable usage or security limits. You may stop using Instamake at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach, legal risk, security risk, or harm to the service or others. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

Disclaimers and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Instamake is provided “as is” and “as available.” General Context disclaims implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not promise uninterrupted service or that generated output will be accurate, secure, or suitable for your needs.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, General Context will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or business interruption arising from Instamake. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms and will post the updated version with a new effective date. Continued use after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance where permitted by law. Questions can be sent to gary@general-context.com.
